Recruited by Paris Saint-Germain from SC Corinthians in the winter of 2024, 19-year-old midfielder Gabriel Moscardo spent last season on loan at Stade de Reims. According to the latest reports, the Brazilian, who was rumoured to be joining Betis Sevilla, is now set to join Sporting Braga on loan until 2026, with an option for a further year, as confirmed by Record and A Bola.
Record :
“All the Portuguese media confirm that Moscardo will be joining Braga for a season!
The defensive midfielder is keen to become part of the Braga project, and has already received the approval of Carlos Vicens, the Portuguese club’s coach.”
A Bola :
CONFIRMATION: Moscardo will be loaned to Braga until June 2026. An option to extend the loan until 2027 should be included!
A loan deal that should enable the player to gain experience for a season in the Portuguese league. For the time being, the club’s directors, coach and staff believe that he is probably too young to join the PSG first team. Let’s hope he manages to find some time at Braga, as he only played 10 games last season for Stade de Reims.
It’s never easy for a young player to turn the corner, but having been recruited as a pure, promising talent, Moscardo has so far failed to confirm that status. Let’s hope that this will be the case this season with Braga, where the adaptation may already be under better conditions.
