Paris Saint-Germain played their final match of 2025 this Saturday against Vendée Fontenay Foot and won 4–0 in the Round of 32 of the Coupe de France. After the match, PSG head coach Luis Enrique spoke to PSG TV.
Enrique: “I think we did a very good job”
“It’s great to play in a stadium like the one in Nantes. When you play against a team from a different division, it’s never easy—you have to stay alert and focused on the match. I think we did a very good job, and we’re happy.”
Enrique: “We’re happy to have the Christmas break”
“The goal is always to try to win every trophy, and we’re happy to have won the final match of this very special year 2025 for all PSG supporters and for us as well. We’re happy to have the Christmas break, and I hope to come back with a lot of ambition to go and win more trophies.”
It was a very strong way to close out the calendar year for PSG, who collected six trophies in 2025. Like the other competitions, the Coupe de France remains a priority for the Parisian side. These early rounds are often tricky due to the packed schedule and the determination of the opponents.
Winning this match is therefore a very positive outcome and allows PSG to head into 2026 in the best possible conditions. Now it’s time for rest, as the team has been going non-stop since last January. This break will do the squad a lot of good before returning to serious business—and the chance to write even more history for the club.
