Vitinha, the 25-year-old midfielder for Paris Saint-Germain and Portugal, spoke at length with the newspaper A Bola. He notably discussed a possible return to FC Porto, his boyhood club, which he left in 2022 to sign with PSG.

“I would really love to play in that shirt again, because I feel at home at the Estádio do Dragão. But it will depend a lot on how my career progresses and also on the situation at FC Porto, as I will always be dependent on the club’s objectives and wishes.”

Still attached to his boyhood club, Vitinha would like to return one day. That’s understandable and commendable. However, there’s no question of returning anytime soon, nor under any circumstances. It’s a possibility for the future, because there’s a strong connection. But it’s not being presented as a goal, and it’s far from certain that it will ever happen.
