This Sunday, the Paris Saint-Germain and Guingamp women’s teams will face off at the AOK Stadion (streaming on Disney+) at 9 p.m. CET on Matchday 1 of the 2025-2026 Women’s Champions League. A match discussed by Parisian coach Paulo César at a press conference.
Paulo César: “We can’t wait to get started.”
“We can’t wait to get started. I’m also looking forward to making my first appearance in the competition with the club. I’m very proud; I have this love for the club, and tomorrow I’ll represent it on the bench with my team. I’m very happy and proud to be joining this Women’s Champions League.
Wolfsburg is a team with a lot of experience in this competition. We’re preparing in the best possible way; we’ve worked from the very beginning to be able to compete in this competition. We’ll start tomorrow, and I hope the girls will be ready to represent the club well,” the club’s official website reported.”
It’s a special competition; there’s always a certain excitement when it comes to getting started. It’s great to see how much love Paulo César, a former PSG player, still has for the club. He undoubtedly has a very special desire to succeed during this time in Paris, including the European campaign.
Nothing will be easy; let’s hope the Parisians approach this match well and put in a great performance. They’ll have to do so against a top-level team with significant experience. The journey won’t be easy and it’s starting off particularly strong. A good result would do the world of good for their confidence.
