Marco Asensio, Paris Saint-Germain’s 29-year-old midfielder/attacker under contract until 2026, has been struggling of late and has been rather sidelined by coach Luis Enrique. So the idea of a mercato departure is taking hold. The Spanish press reports this Thursday that a La Liga club has made a move.
Nothing is impossible, Asensio has the qualities to attract offers in the hope of successfully relaunching his career. But we can’t hope for an exit to one of Europe’s top clubs. Betis and Aston Villa would already be good options if confirmed.
We remain cautious, however, as there is still nothing certain in this dossier. The weeks go by with a few rumours, except that there has never been any confirmation.
