Maghnes Akliouche, AS Monaco’s 22-year-old attacking midfielder, has been tipped by the media as one of Paris Saint-Germain’s targets for the 2024 summer mercato, but has extended his contract (from 2026 to 2028). However, PSG are still interested in his future. Journalist Romain Collet Gaudin asserts this Friday that this is progressing with a common desire.
“Maghnes Akliouche, PSG’s number 1 choice for the upcoming mercato.
Monaco is open to selling and the player wants to come to Paris!”
Mind you, it’s just a rumour, so we’re bound to be cautious. But Akliouche has been rumoured to be in PSG’s sights for some time. It’s possible that things will finally move forward, after a certain amount of waiting and lengthy discussions.
There could still be strong competition for this immense talent, and AS Monaco, even if they “open” the door, could demand a high price. Negotiations won’t necessarily be easy. But it’s certainly a case to keep an eye on, with a very interesting player who could fit perfectly into the Parisian project.
