Mohamed Salah, the 32-year-old Egyptian striker whose contract with Liverpool expires next June, has been rumoured to be in the sights of Paris Saint-Germain. There was even talk of discussions underway, before denials were issued. The outcome of the rumour was confirmed this Wednesday: the Egyptian is finally heading for an extension.
There’s no certainty until it’s official, but several media outlets are now pointing in the same direction. And this has been the most likely outcome from the outset. There is at least reason to believe that Salah will continue at Liverpool after all.
In any case, a move to PSG seems a long way off, especially as there’s nothing to suggest that such an option would arise if the striker were to leave Liverpool in the end.
