The Parisians had to pull out all the stops, and won in style. It certainly wasn’t their best game, but they managed it intelligently. Despite this, PSG were serene and sure of their strength. We had to win this title, even if there wasn’t much suspense left. Victories bring joy and confidence. Now it’s time to focus on our other objectives: the LDC, the Coupe de France and, why not, the records.
Doué
It’s hard to pinpoint, but Désiré Doué gives PSG other options. He’s so strong in certain areas that he’s adaptable. When he succeeds in scoring more goals and being even more decisive, he’ll undoubtedly be monstrous. In any case, he brings victory, the title, on an important night.
Luis Enrique
It’s easier to sum it all up with the coach. He’s been with us for two years, and he’s changed the face of PSG so much. The off-field praise comes from all quarters, he has the support of his squad and the fans, not a single player is injured, and in his second season, he is French champion and has qualified for the quarter-finals of the Champions League. To top it all off, his PSG has yet to lose in Ligue 1, and his future is looking brighter as the season draws to a close than anyone expected at the end of 2024. Well done to him and his staff, as well as to the players.
Marquinhos’ joy
Despite his personal sadness (drama in his private life), he is still delighted as a young player despite his 10th French Championship title. Sitting on the pitch with his children, he showed once again that he is a touching and important player, and that he is far from being “finished”, as many observers predicted two years ago. He’ll miss out on the Champions League, but there’s no doubt he’ll want to play again and again and go as far as he can. He could become the player, who arrived young and became a manager, to fulfill the dream of an entire club.
