Paris Saint-Germain and Le Havre faced off this Saturday at the Parc des Princes for the 30th day of Ligue 1 2024-2025. The match ended in a 2-1 Parisian victory (video highlights PSG/Le Havre). After the match, Le Havre coach Didier Digard spoke to beIN SPORTS.
Digard “We had quite a few situations”.
Did you believe until the end?
Yes, of course, you have to believe. Now at 2-1 up, we wanted to get back into it. We had quite a few situations, but we lacked the right technical touch in the last and penultimate moves.
You put a lot of intensity into the game without the ball.
Yes, it was better than last week without the ball, but I think we can go one step further and do even better. Particularly at the start of the game, when we were a long way from the ball carrier. There was definitely room for improvement, as we saw in the second half. That’s the way forward for the next few games.
Digard “I hope we’ll be rewarded.”
Did the players respect PSG too much in the first half?
That’s a good question, it’s a possibility and I hope not. In our situation we can’t afford to be like that. I sincerely think that it’s more technical, or particularly in the first half in transition situations, we carried the ball a lot and we could have done better. You can see that this is a team that’s showing a good face and putting in a lot of effort. I hope we’ll be rewarded.
