Paris Saint-Germain beat Arsenal 0-1 (video highlights Arsenal/PSG) on Tuesday at Emirates Stadium in the first leg of the Champions League 2024-2025 semi-finals (return on May 7). Following the victory, Paris midfielder Vitinha was voted UEFA Player of the Match. However, the 25-year-old Portuguese posted a photo on social networks to congratulate Gianluigi Donnarumma (26-year-old goalkeeper) “the real MVP”.

Ousmane Dembélé (27-year-old striker) was angry after the quarter-final second leg against Aston Villa, and already Donnarumma was a possible winner. This time, it’s more questionable and Vitinha has more to smile about with a win. But it’s good to see him congratulating the Parisian keeper, who put in a great performance.

There’s a great atmosphere in the group and everyone recognizes Donnarumma’s immense contribution to PSG. It’s a shame to see certain “specialists” and fans doubting this.

Vitinha is a less surprising winner than Dembélé in the previous match. In a very fine team, there were several possible choices (not forgetting Arsenal). Like João Neves (20-year-old midfielder), Fabian Ruiz (29-year-old midfielder) or Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (24-year-old striker).
