Fabian Ruiz, the 28-year-old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder who arrived from Napoli in the summer of 2022, is coming off a season that has been very interesting at times, but which has not removed all doubts about a place in Paris. There are indeed rumors about the 2024 summer mercato. In England, for example, it was announced that Arsenal had made contact. Foot Mercato has pushed back on this rumor this Friday.

“Unless an offer arrives that’s hard to refuse.”
“Indeed, according to our indiscretions, the reigning French champions have, until now, never been approached by the Gunners about the former Napoli player.
The Los Palacios y Villafranca native is under contract with the Red and Blue until June 2027, and should therefore be able to capitalize on his promising summer to make his mark in Paris. Unless, that is, a hard-to-refuse offer arrives on the desks of Parisian decision-makers in the meantime.”
So there’s nothing between Ruiz and Arsenal, which is credible even if we remain very cautious. The mercato can move fast and there are a lot of rumours, so it’s hard to be certain.
Ruiz could well continue at PSG, although it’s not impossible that a departure is in the offing. It all depends on what offers are made and whether or not recruitment is possible. We suspect that a certain amount would open the door. The question is the figure. And there’s no guarantee that any club will reach it.
The Spanish midfielder could therefore continue to fight for his place at PSG, perhaps with greater regularity in a more solid team this season. We’ve seen it with Spain.
