French soccer legend and former UEFA President Michel Platini, 68, spoke at a charity event in Turin about the Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan. He showed his support for PSG, praising the quality of their play and their fine season.

“Inter, I think the last time I saw them play was the 2010 Champions League final. I haven’t seen them play since, when Mourinho was their coach. So I can’t talk about Inter, I don’t know them.

On the other hand, I know PSG a little better. PSG play very well. The coach has made this team play very well. So it’s a real pleasure to watch Paris Saint-Germain play. We don’t often hear Platini talking about soccer these days. He did, however, make a point of talking about Paris’ fine season, and in his opinion, the PSG coach has succeeded in instilling a seductive dynamic into the game.
However, he reminds us that the outcome of a final remains uncertain, as it is often decided down to the last detail. Although he refuses to make a prediction, he fully assumes his support for PSG, explaining that, as a Frenchman, he hopes to see Paris triumph in Munich.
This stance, shared by other French soccer legends, testifies to the excitement generated by the capital club in the run-up to this historic European meeting. It’s great to see French soccer behind PSG, even if it’s sometimes special to see Marseille legends supporting Paris. In any case, on Saturday night, PSG will be supported by a nation.
