Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, President of Paris Saint-Germain, gave an interview to the AlkassTV channel this weekend. In it, he highlights the club’s innovative approach to analysis and training, citing in particular the extraordinary involvement of 54-year-old Luis Enrique and the use of unique technological tools at the PSG training center.
Al-Khelaïfi “We told him we were afraid for him”.
“I think we’re the only club – or maybe there’s another one like Bayer Leverkusen – to have a giant screen in its training center. He sits down with the players while they train, shows them the screen, the opponent and his game. He relies on an analysis I’ve never seen before. He’s been living at the training center for eight months. We told him we were afraid for him.
Al-Khelaïfi: “It’s a great job”.
We advised him to get out, see the outside world and change the atmosphere. He loves soccer. Soccer is his life. From 8am to 9pm. Imagine, he’s a coach. It’s the fruit of his hard work, that of the players, the coaching staff and the fans. It’s a great job.“
Since his arrival in the summer of 2023, Luis Enrique (55) has embodied at Paris Saint-Germain a form of dedication rarely seen at this level. From his very first days at the club, he made the bold choice to move into the PSG Campus, sleeping on site to immerse himself in the club’s culture and understand every detail of its workings. This total involvement translates into a daily presence, from morning till night, with his players and staff, taking full advantage of an exceptional working environment designed for performance.
Luis Enrique is quick to impose his collective vision, favoring discipline, rigor and a clear tactical identity, breaking with the era of individualism. He has no hesitation in repositioning the leaders and giving responsibility to the youngsters, while remaining attentive to the human and psychological aspects of his squad. In just two seasons, he has transformed PSG into a structured, resilient and united team, capable of reaching the Champions League final, a symbol of constant progress.
