On Sunday, as part of the 2025 Club World Cup Round of 16, Paris Saint-Germain faced Inter Miami at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta (PSG/Inter Miami highlights). The Rouge et Bleu dominated from start to finish, cruising to a 4-0 victory. Here’s how the Parisians performed:
Goalkeeper –
Gianluigi Donnarumma (6) – Virtually untested in the first half. Made the necessary saves after the break.
Defenders –
Achraf Hakimi (8) – Tireless as always. A constant attacking threat in the first half and capped it off with a well-fought goal. Substituted in the 69th minute by Lee Kang-In.
Marquinhos (7) – Commanding presence. Had a quiet first half defensively. Subbed at halftime for Lucas Beraldo (6) – Solid and disciplined.
Willian Pacho (7) – Much like Marquinhos, barely troubled early on. Strong in the second half.
Nuno Mendes (6) – Steady first-half display, but could’ve exploited the open spaces more. Replaced in the 70th minute by Lucas Hernandez.
Midfielders –
João Neves (8) – A jewel in midfield. Scored a brace, recovered possession, and played with confidence. Efficient and mistake-free. Replaced in the 62nd minute by Ousmane Dembélé.
Vitinha (7) – The engine of the midfield. Delivered an assist and controlled the rhythm in the first 45. Still room to improve in duels.
Fabian Ruiz (8) – At his best, he’s a maestro. Clean, collective, and always well-positioned. Replaced at halftime by Warren Zaïre-Emery (7) – Another bright, energetic cameo.
Forwards –
Désiré Doué (6) – Showed flashes of brilliance but mixed it with inconsistency. Controls tempo well but still expected to offer more in the final third.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (6) – Gave defenders a tough time and was always involved. Could have simplified at times, and his second half was a bit frustrating due to solo choices.
Bradley Barcola (7) – Solid first half with some erratic spells. Still, his directness and agility were effective. Needs more end product, especially given the chances he had.
Coach –
Luis Enrique (8) – His team looks hungry and ruthless. When PSG needs to deliver, they do it in style. Only a truly united opponent can challenge their current momentum.
