After arriving at the 2023 summer transfer window following the end of his contract with Inter Milan, 30-year-old defender Milan Skriniar failed to secure a place at Paris Saint-Germain. His contract expires in June 2028, and he has been loaned to Fenerbahçe for the second half of the 2024-2025 season. He has made a strong comeback and is expected to remain with the Turkish club on a permanent transfer this summer. On Sunday, journalist Romain Collet Gaudin reported that the deal is done.
Milan Skriniar (PSG) to Fenerbahce SK
Transfer fee of €12 million + bonuses
Four-year contract”
This journalist is not the type to make such assertive statements without good reason, so we can hope that the Skriniar case has finally been settled. We had hoped that it would be resolved more quickly, as all parties seemed to agree on the outcome. But negotiations can sometimes be lengthy, and PSG is no longer willing to make any concessions under the leadership of Luis Campos.
We remain cautious until it is official, of course. But all the media have been saying the same thing in recent days. An official announcement is expected in the coming days.
This would be a rather good sale for PSG for a player who arrived on a free transfer and failed to establish himself in coach Luis Enrique’s plans (the Slovakian signed in January, before the Spanish coach was appointed).
