Paris Saint-Germain won 2-7 against Bayer Leverkusen this Tuesday at the BayArena in Matchday 3 of the 2025-2026 Champions League. After this victory, Parisian coach Luis Enrique spoke to Canal+.
Luis Enrique: “It was a bit strange.”
What is your analysis after this great victory?
It’s positive because I think we played very well. We had very clear chances, and I think we deserved the victory. It was a bit strange because we had the players sent off; it’s a different game with 10 players, but I think we deserved the victory.
How did you reflect after the sending-off?
I think it’s always difficult playing away from home, you know that because the atmosphere changes. There are things you can’t control, but I think we played as usual, our style and our work, and we’re clearly proud of this team.
Luis Enrique: “It’s great to see this connection.”
How did you feel about Dembélé’s return?
He scored like he did many times last year, especially with the assists, like Barcola’s. It’s great to see this connection. It’s nice to have the players back, and I’m happy, we have to keep going.
