Luis Enrique, head coach of Paris Saint-Germain (currently 1st in Ligue 1), spoke at a press conference this Tuesday ahead of his team’s trip to face Lorient (16th) at the Stade du Moustoir on Wednesday (kick-off at 7 p.m., CET) as part of Matchday 10 of the 2025–2026 Ligue 1 season. On the sidelines of the event, the Spanish coach also gave an interview to PSG TV.
Luis Enrique: “There’s great momentum, good competition within the squad”
A flawless performance against Brest ?
“It’s nice to return to our natural position. But it’s always complicated — we have to remember that we’re still at the start of the season. We’re not worried, but yes, it’s nice to be back up there.”
How is the squad doing before another away trip ?
“It’s the best news we can have — getting players back. There’s great momentum, good competition within the team. It’s beautiful because it helps us grow collectively. We’re preparing for the match; there’s no time for long analysis. We have to enjoy the moment, enjoy playing. We’re on the road again, not far from Brest. We need to manage the situation well. We’re happy, optimistic.”

Lorient are near the bottom of the table but unpredictable — how do you see this match?
“It’ll be a difficult one, because they may play with a low block, so we’ll need a lot of movement. But that can change quickly — everything depends on how the match goes. It’s a different kind of team, one that’s fighting for different things. It’s the kind of match that can quickly become complicated. But we’re ready.”
