At the end of Paris Saint-Germain’s matches during January, as we now always do (based on the Player of the Month awards for each match), we asked for your vote for “Player of the Month.” Warren Zaïre-Emery (19-year-old midfielder) won.
As a reminder, the January matches were:
PSG/Paris FC (2-1), PSG/OM (2-2), PSG/Paris FC (0-1), PSG/Lille (3-0), Sporting Portugal/PSG (2-1), Auxerre/PSG (0-1), PSG/Newcastle (1-1).

A victory that came as no great surprise; one might even have expected a wider margin. In a January where PSG’s performances lacked consistency (and efficiency), Zaïre-Emery managed to be at least satisfactory in every match. And he was impressive on several occasions, particularly in his development at right-back. The youngster added a touch of creativity and proved decisive.
Behind him, Vitinha (25-year-old midfielder), Ousmane Dembélé (28-year-old forward), and Willian Pacho (24-year-old defender) complete the podium, quite logically. While not dazzling, Vitinha remains valuable in orchestrating the game. Pacho is known for his solid performances. Perhaps less was expected of Dembélé, who has been disappointing on several occasions. But he also achieved some truly remarkable things, including some memorable goals.
Thank you for your votes, and we would like to point out that the podium finishes for these “Player of the Month” will count towards the Player of the Season award, as a player must have been on the podium at least once to be considered for nomination.
