At the end of Paris Saint-Germain’s matches during December, as we now always do (based on the Player of the Month awards for each match), we asked for a vote for the “Player of the Month.” Warren Zaïre-Emery (19-year-old midfielder) won.
As a reminder, the December matches were:
PSG/Rennes (5-0), Athletic Bilbao/PSG (0-0), Metz/PSG (2-3), PSG/Flamengo (1-1), Vendée Fontenay/PSG (0-4).
The winner:

A great victory for Zaïre-Emery, a far cry from his struggles last season. The young player is back in form and was particularly consistent throughout December. While PSG has lacked a bit of attacking firepower in recent weeks, he has certainly made his mark.
Rounding out the podium is the usual suspect, Vitinha (25-year-old midfielder). While he hasn’t always been at his best in recent weeks, he’s still maintaining a consistently high level of performance. As for Matvey Safonov (26-year-old goalkeeper), he has fully benefited from Lucas Chevalier’s (24-year-old) injury. The Russian has perfectly embodied coach Luis Enrique’s philosophy of having players who are always ready. The question now is how much playing time he will get going forward.
Thank you for your votes. We would like to point out that the podium finishes for these “Player of the Month” awards will count towards the Player of the Season award, as a player must have been on the podium at least once to be considered for nomination.
