Present at the Metropolitano Stadium for “Le Forum“, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, president of Paris Saint-Germain, was questioned on several points. He notably spoke about his presence and relationship with the players, as well as the club’s qualification for the Champions League semi-finals.
Al-Khelaïfi: “They don’t need me when they win and celebrate.”
“For us, reaching the Champions League semi-finals three years in a row means being at the top of our game; it’s very special. It’s a very high-level competition, and all the teams have been fantastic.
My players?
I’m there when they win and even more so when they lose. That’s what they need; they don’t need me when they win and celebrate. I try to be there for them in difficult moments, even though it’s nice to be with the team when they win, especially when they win trophies. They work very hard, and the season isn’t over for us yet.”
For fifteen years now, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi has been masterfully managing PSG, learning along the way. While he has experienced difficult times, the pinnacle of success came last year with the victory, notably in the Champions League final. Obviously, like the players, he still wants to make history with this club. Having qualified for the Champions League semi-finals, PSG is just three matches away from writing another glorious chapter in its history.
The squad is determined, the management is united, and together they are working to keep the Red and Blue faithful at the pinnacle of European football. The fans have been living a dream for several months now and will undoubtedly never be able to thank President Al-Khelaïfi enough for all the work he has done in recent years, which has allowed the club to be considered the best in the world today.
