Gabriel Moscardo, the 19-year-old midfielder who arrived at Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2024 from Corinthians (after a loan spell since the winter), has been loaned out to Stade de Reims for the 2024-2025 season to sharpen his skills. Except that he has yet to play an official match, and this stalemate could lead to a shake-up, according to PSG Inside Actus.
Moscardo had the misfortune of suffering a fairly lengthy hip injury when he arrived, and has only really been available since mid-October. But seeing him with 0 minutes on the clock is bound to be a problem, when this season should be about adapting to Ligue 1 and growing up
Training is important, but not everything. The player and PSG could be looking for something else. While Reims would not necessarily close the door on a departure.
However, the situation could change between now and January. There’s still time and games to be played, and perhaps a launch will give the Brazilian a chance to get going. Also, with a return, we’d have to be sure of having a good option afterwards. In Paris? Difficult, given the stiff competition. Another club? It’s possible, but not certain.
