Renato Marin, the 19-year-old Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper, spoke to PSG TV after the 2-2 draw against Lorient this Saturday at the Parc des Princes, in the 32nd round of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season.
Marin: “We need to play very well in every match.”
“I think this is an incredible moment for me. I’m really very happy, I’ve worked very hard for this, and thank you for this moment. I’m going to continue to work. No match is easy, and every game is played at a high level. We need to play very well in every match. We have four or five matches left, and we have to win them all.”
For his very first match in a PSG shirt, Renato Marin had the opportunity to play on the pitch at the Parc des Princes. A unique moment despite the draw, which will remain a mere footnote in the context of this incredible season the capital club is having. Especially since Lens drew against Nice (1-1).
Obviously, all eyes are already on Wednesday and the Champions League semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich. Already the reigning champions, the Parisian club can continue to make history. Eliminating the Bavarian club on their home turf would be a remarkable achievement, securing their place in the final once again. And with a six-point lead in the league, there’s no cause for concern right now.
