Arnau Tenas, the 23-year-old Spanish goalkeeper who signed for Paris Saint-Germain until 2026 in the summer of 2023 after the end of his contract at FC Barcelona, currently has no game time. PSG Inside Actus now assures us that a loan deal is on the cards for this winter, with a number of clubs interested.
“A loan move during the winter mercato looks increasingly likely. Several Spanish clubs have expressed an interest in Arnau #Tenas. Among them, Mallorca, Las Palmas, Osasuna and Tenerife are at the top of the list. These clubs see Tenas as an opportunity to strengthen their squad with a promising goalkeeper capable of making a name for himself quickly.
Interest in Arnau Tenas is not limited to Spain. In Scotland, Aberdeen and Hibernian have also shown a keen interest in the young keeper. What’s more, clubs in Turkey, Portugal and the Netherlands are keeping a close eye on Tenas’ situation and could try their luck in January.“
Nothing impossible, or at least Tenas is expected to leave. Tenas left Barcelona for lack of space and playing time. He can’t be satisfied with his current 3rd place in the hierarchy. Just as the club certainly suspects that playing would help him move forward.
All that remains is to find an option that suits all parties, and that’s no easy task. Every year, we see loans that come to little or nothing. Spain has the advantage of being more “comfortable” for Tenas, but it’s better to be open in his situation in order to find a place.
Let’s wait and see what happens, as the Spanish keeper’s future is still far from clear.
