Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the 25-year-old Paris Saint-Germain striker, spoke to Canal+ after PSG’s 1-0 victory over Bayern Munich (5-6 on aggregate) on Wednesday at the Allianz Arena in the second leg of their 2025-2026 Champions League semi-final (final on May 30 against Arsenal).
Kvaratskhelia: “We know it will be very difficult against Arsenal.”
You’re back in the Champions League final. Is it the same emotional feeling as the first time?
Yes, of course, we’re very happy to be in the final. It’s important, we’re going to stay focused, and we know it will be very difficult against Arsenal. We’ve shown that we’re capable of anything on several occasions.
Was it the most difficult match of the season?
I think Bayern Munich is one of the best teams. So it was a very difficult match, perhaps the toughest of the season. We showed that we can play against these teams.
Kvaratskhelia: “I will always help the team and give my all for the team.”
Do you enjoy these kinds of matches? Is this the best period of your career?
I work every day for this. I’m happy to have made an assist, but the most important thing is the team. And the most important thing is that we won. I will always help the team and give my all for the team.
