Yoram Zague, a 20-year-old right-back under professional contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2028, has previously been loaned out—first to Copenhagen and then to KAS Eupen. His next move had been uncertain, but L’Équipe confirmed this Sunday that the PSG academy graduate is heading to Paphos, as Le Parisien had recently reported.
“Yoram Zague will continue his development in Paphos, Cyprus. PSG is set to loan its young 20-year-old full-back (under contract until June 2028) to the Cypriot club for one year. The Paris-trained player traveled this weekend to undergo his medical examination. The loan deal will include an option to buy, though the fee remains undisclosed.”
With such strong confirmation of the transfer, there is very little doubt left. However, it is best to remain cautious until it is official; the transfer market is known for moving quickly and springing surprises. A signing is only a done deal once it is officially announced. Nevertheless, this certainly appears to be the direction things are taking.
This move offers an interesting opportunity for Zague, joining a club that plays a significant role in its domestic league and is still contending for European qualification this season. It won’t be the Champions League—despite some notable performances last season—but rather the Europa Conference League, provided they qualify against FC Dinamo City (Albania) following a 1-1 draw in the first leg.
We wish the Parisian academy graduate success in establishing himself and thriving in this new adventure—ideally finding some stability after a period of frequent moves.
