Maghnes Akliouche, a 24-year-old midfielder, has officially left AS Monaco to join Paris Saint-Germain. Speaking to the club’s official website, he shared his first thoughts and reflected on his childhood in the Paris region.

What was the young Maghnes like when he was playing in the Île-de-France region?
“He was a young player who enjoyed himself, who loved football—someone who woke up every morning wanting to play the game without overthinking things.
I still have a few childhood friends from the Paris region. I hold onto those memories from when I was a kid: playing football, doing what we loved, scoring goals, and having a blast with friends. That’s the memory I keep of the Paris region.”
Akliouche: “Believing in it, too—believing in your own qualities.”
How do you feel after signing this deal?
“It’s a childhood dream. It’s a childhood dream for a kid from the Paris region to play for PSG. It’s a dream come true. My father and I used to go to the Parc des Princes. I have nothing but good memories.”
You were born in Tremblay and played in the 93 and 77 departments; your journey is bound to inspire many young talents. What would you say to them today?
“Hard work is the primary answer. There is nothing more important. Believing in it, too—believing in your own qualities. Believing in hard work. Being able to develop and grow over time.”
