Day 4 of the Champions League 2024-2025 league phase was played this week. UEFA then organizes various fan votes. Paris Saint-Germain, who lost to Atlético Madrid at the Parc des Princes (1-2), is not among the nominees for player of the week. Nor is Ligue 1, unlike the last two weeks. There’s Viktor Gyökeres (26-year-old Sporting Portugal striker), Luis Diaz (27-year-old Liverpool winger), Karim Konaté (20-year-old Red Bull Salzburg striker) and Nicolas Kühn (24-year-old Celtic Glasgow winger).
It’s no surprise to see PSG miss out on another frustrating defeat. There are good things in the game, but still no efficiency. But that’s what counts in soccer. Besides, the points are missing. Let’s hope it’s on the next day.
In the meantime, there’s a fine selection of players here, even if it’s regrettable that we almost always find only strikers.
