Lucas Hernandez, 28-year-old defender for Paris Saint-Germain and the French national team, was injured at the end of last season in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Borussia Dortmund. Unfortunately, he suffered a rupture of the anterior ligament in his left knee and will be out for months. But some positive news was confirmed on Monday, with L’Equipe confirming that the French international could well play again in 2024.
” There’s hope of a return to competition in December.
“The world champion is ahead of schedule on his recovery program. Sensations are good, and his knee is responding positively to each step, with workloads increasing.
After his fourth serious injury in his career, the Frenchman has told those close to him that he is impatient to show that he is once again capable of returning to his best.
It remains to be seen whether the Parisian’s knee will recover sufficiently. But in recent days, at the Poissy training center, there is hope of a return to competition in December, before the winter break (PSG-Lyon on December 15 to end the calendar year).”
