Achraf Hakimi, 25-year-old right-back for Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco, spoke to GQ Italia. In particular, he was asked to talk about his goals for the next stage of his career and his psychological management.
Hakimi “to make history by winning my first Champions League.”
“I’ve managed to achieve many important goals for a footballer. My greatest desire remains to win a title with my country. And with PSG, I want to make history by winning my first Champions League.
Paris is great! I’m living one of the best moments of my career and, in the French capital, I’m continuing to consolidate the experience I had in Italy.
Hakimi has already come a long way in his career, but he obviously still has a lot to achieve. One of which is that famous Champions League at PSG. Even if it’s not the club’s obsession every summer, it must be an objective. It’s the team-building project that allows us to believe in it.
Today, the Moroccan full-back is establishing himself as a framework for this, and we’re delighted to see his determination. He’s happy in Paris and wants to continue moving forward with the club.
Today, he has a certain maturity and mental strength that can help him and his team-mates. Hakimi explains in the interview that he underwent therapy, which stopped 3 years ago. He admits that he needed this help. But he now has the weapons to pursue his career with his loved ones.
