As it does after each round of league matches, L’Équipe has drawn up its squad list for Matchday 22 of Ligue 1 2024-2025, which was played over the weekend (find results and standings here). With their 0-1 victory over Toulouse (video summary PSG/Toulouse) at the Stadium, Paris Saint-Germain saw 2 of their players selected.
Fabian Ruiz (28-year-old midfielder) and Willian Pacho (23-year-old defender) are no great surprises in this standard team. They were involved in the only goal of the match, as the latter sent a header over the bar and the latter was in the right place to take it. They were also very solid against a rather quiet PSG. The Spanish midfielder even created several chances.
It’s hard to think of any other Parisians who could have been present, apart perhaps from Lucas Beraldo (20-year-old defender), who held his own in the duels and was clean through the restarts. Except that the sports paper didn’t appreciate his performance. In any case, it’s logical to see other Ligue 1 players featured in this line-up, as there’s plenty of quality in the league.
