Maghnes Akliouche, AS Monaco’s 23-year-old attacking midfielder, has been tipped by the media as one of Paris Saint-Germain’s targets for the 2024 summer mercato, but has extended his contract (from 2026 to 2028). However, PSG are still interested in his future. 90 min reports this Friday that they have even taken action, but face stiff competition from Manchester City.
“News @90minFR
Manchester City and PSG are in contact with the entourage of Maghnes Akliouche, who has a release clause at AS Monaco.
The two clubs are making progress on the dossier, albeit using different methods…”
These are relatively credible claims, given that this is a player with the qualities to attract Europe’s biggest clubs. With his technique, vision and versatility, a place at PSG or Manchester City is a real possibility.
Monaco would certainly prefer to keep Akliouche, but may well have to accept that the player could be interested in another move. However, nothing is certain yet, as there are no concrete elements.
PSG, City, Monaco and Akliouche may also have other ideas. Let’s wait and see. The mercato is still a long way off, and things can change very quickly. It’s only in preparation at the moment.
