Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the 23-year-old SSC Napoli striker under contract until 2027, was the target of a concrete offer from Paris Saint-Germain during the 2024 summer mercato, but his club didn’t open the door despite pressure from his entourage. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports this Sunday that the latest meeting failed to make any progress towards a contract extension.
Of course, we can’t say that Kvaratskhelia will be coming to PSG. Nor even that a new offer will be made. But the fact that Napoli are still finding it difficult to sign him may give some hope.
Even so, there’s still time before the Neapolitans come under any real pressure. So let’s wait and see. Another attempt by PSG is still conceivable and could end in success, except that another outcome would not be surprising. Kvaratskhelia can still reach an agreement, while Paris can concentrate on other, more accessible leads.
