Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, SSC Napoli’s 23-year-old striker under contract until 2027, was the target of a concrete offer from Paris Saint-Germain during the 2024 summer mercato, but his club didn’t open the door despite pressure from his entourage. PSG came back this winter, and this time the Neapolitan club opened up to the Georgian’s desire to leave. Il Mattino claims this Sunday that everything could be finalized by Wednesday.
“Kvratskhelia-Napoli, the week of goodbyes!
Agreement reached with agent Mamuka Jugeli!
Contract until 2029 with an automatic one-year option!
Salary: 8M
Napoli want 75M
Decisive meeting scheduled for Monday or Wednesday at the latest
Il Mattino Napoli.”
We remain cautious when it comes to financial figures, as they vary from one media outlet to another. Some are around 80 million euros, others 60-65. And we note that Milan Skriniar (29-year-old defender), rumoured to be on loan to Napoli, is no longer necessarily mentioned. As long as the announcement isn’t official, there’s no possible certainty.
But with all the media pointing in the same direction as regards an imminent transfer, and Napoli confirming their desire to leave, there is every reason to be optimistic. Let’s hope we don’t have to wait too long, or experience any nasty surprises.
