Maghnes Akliouche, AS Monaco’s 23-year-old attacking midfielder, has been tipped by the media as one of Paris Saint-Germain’s targets for the 2024 summer mercato, but has extended his contract (from 2026 to 2028). However, PSG are reportedly still interested in his future. Thiago Scuro, sporting director of the Monaco club, made a major announcement on Canal+.
““He is a candidate to start, he must go to a right where he is trusted to become an international, he deserves it.”
Strong words that leave little room for doubt. Monaco is listening to offers for Akliouche, and we suspect that the player has the same ambition. PSG could well take advantage of this.
There’s nothing certain, however, as other leads are possible for Paris. Monaco and the player may also turn to other offers. But there’s no doubt that this is an issue to keep an eye on over the coming weeks.
