Having arrived from Inter Milan in the summer of 2023, 29-year-old defender Milan Skriniar has yet to find his place at Paris Saint-Germain. His contract expires in June 2028, but already a departure seems likely as the Slovak international is no longer playing. This Thursday, L’Equipe reports that he is in talks with Galatasaray, although no agreement has yet been reached despite certain rumours. Other options still exist. But the player wants to move quickly.
“The player would like to know before PSG resumes”.
“The Slovak defender is being actively followed by Turkish club Galatasaray. This Thursday morning, local media were reporting a contractual agreement between the two parties. The reality is more nuanced. The former Inter Milan defender is in talks with the Turkish club, but no agreement has yet been reached. Skriniar has several other leads, notably in England. The player would like to know before PSG resumes on January 2.”
There’s always a need for caution when dealing with rumours, whereas the media tend to be too assertive too quickly. But Skriniar is certainly on his way out. And Galatasaray, a club that has already re-launched several struggling players in Europe’s big leagues, is a real option.
But there may be other possibilities, with discussions still to be held. So let’s wait and see. At the very least, it’s possible that the player wants everything to happen quickly, so as to regain a real chance to play as soon as possible. PSG will also logically want to offload such a hefty salary when they come to a standstill. It’s quite logical. The hardest thing is to come to an agreement.
