Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the 23-year-old SSC Napoli striker under contract until 2027, was the target of a concrete offer from Paris Saint-Germain during the 2024 summer mercato, but his club did not open the door despite pressure from his entourage. Rumors of a Parisian attempt this winter are back. Fabrizio Romano confirms that Napoli are asking for around €80m, and negotiations are ongoing. In terms of salary, the Georgian’s camp would like to quadruple his current salary.
It’s been a long time since we’ve had the feeling that a world-class player could sign quickly for PSG. Mind you, we’ve seen transfers fall through for less than that. We have to remain vigilant, but this looks like a deal on the way to being finalized.
All parties now need to come to an agreement, but €80m and a quadrupled salary is still within PSG’s grasp, and quite decent for a player of his calibre. We’ll continue to monitor the situation closely.
