This Saturday, as part of Matchday 16 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season, Paris Saint-Germain faced Metz at the Stade Saint-Symphorien. Jessy Deminguet, the 27-year-old midfielder for Metz, spoke to Ligue1+ after PSG’s 3-2 victory.
Deminguet: “We played the match we wanted to play.”
You played a good match, but do you have any regrets today?
Unfortunately, yes. Because we played the match we wanted to play with a lot of intensity. We also wanted to hurt them with the ball; there were sequences where we caused them problems. It’s a shame we conceded goals from set pieces, especially the second one where we were poorly positioned. There’s a lot of frustration because we played the match we needed to.
Deminguet: “We can build on this kind of match.”
Did you scare them?
No, I don’t think so. We know they’re a team that likes to keep possession, we often see that in Europe. It’s very difficult to compete against them. We tried, we put in a lot of effort. There was some fatigue, and that bodes well for the future. We can build on this kind of match.
