This Saturday, during Matchday 16 of Ligue 1 2025-2026, Paris Saint-Germain faced Metz at the Stade Saint-Symphorien. After a match where the Red and Blue flirted with disaster, they emerged victorious 3-2. Here are our player ratings for the Parisians.
Goalkeeper –
Matvey Safonov (5.5) – He had almost nothing to do in the first half. His distribution was fluid and inspired. He conceded a goal where he could do little. He did his job, but conceded two well-worked goals.
Defenders –
Warren Zaïre-Emery (5) – As in recent matches, he showed a lot of character. He effectively contained his flank while also making forward runs. A solid performance, but he clearly lost momentum and saw his opposite number completely dominate towards the end of the match.
Ilya Zabarnyi (4.5) – He knows he’ll be able to play regularly, and it showed. He flexed his muscles at times and displayed the right level of aggression. However, he still seems to be finding his feet in this team. He’s not always composed.
Willian Pacho (6) – What more can be said about Pacho? He’s calm, almost in all circumstances. He does simple things, but with him, PSG is much more solid. The danger comes more often from the other side, which clearly shows that opponents are targeting PSG’s “weak point” by avoiding the Ecuadorian.
Lucas Hernandez (5) – A fairly average first half from him. He wasn’t much better in the second.
Midfielders –
Lee Kang-in (4.5) – He provided an assist, but we saw him make a lot of mistakes in the first half. He does, however, have a nice left foot that can get the team out of difficult situations. He faded (as often happens) as the match progressed.
Vitinha (4) – Clearly less influential in recent matches, he didn’t shine as brightly as usual. Even with a more “normal” performance, he allowed PSG to lock down the midfield by dominating possession. If Paris is less clinical, it’s also because their playmaker is less prominent.
Fabian Ruiz (6.5) – A good first half for him, very active, with some nice passes. Replaced at halftime by Désiré Doué (6) – A good entrance, some good things, some less so. He still managed to score and create chances. He’ll be a valuable asset in the second half of the season.
Forwards –
Quentin Ndjantou (6) – He moved around a lot, without really finding a defined role. This was surely the coach’s instruction, and it finally paid off with his first goal in Parisian colors. Replaced by Bradley Barcola.
Gonçalo Ramos (6) – The super-sub made his mark as a starter. This should do him good. Overall, he had a decent first half, without really electrifying the stadium. He does, however, have excellent timing, and his goal clearly demonstrates his potential. Replaced by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Ibrahim Mbaye (6.5) – Providing the assist for Ndjantou, the youth connection struck again this Saturday evening. He seems to have gained confidence, getting past his opponents more often and slowly starting to be decisive. Another promising talent for the future. Replaced by Lucas Beraldo in the 91st minute.
Coach –
Luis Enrique (6) – This PSG side is noticeably less composed, however, Luis Enrique continues to believe in his very young squad, and it’s paying off. Mbaye raised his voice, Ndjantou scored, Lee provided an assist. Everyone is involved in this team, and even if it’s not at its strongest, it doesn’t give up and continues to progress, drawing on its strengths and weaknesses.
