AS Monaco secured a 3-1 victory against FC Nantes this Saturday in Matchday 22 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season, a result that boosts their confidence before hosting Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday in the first leg of their Champions League playoff. However, there is also bad news. Maghnes Akliouche (23-year-old attacking midfielder/winger) and Lamine Camara (22-year-old midfielder) left the field with concerns about potential injuries. Coach Sébastien Pocognoli provided an update in the post-match press conference.
“For Maghnes, we’ll run some tests. I hope it’s nothing too serious; I think he has a hip sprain. For Lamine, it’s a precaution, just like we were with Balogun and Vanderson,” he said, as reported by Foot Mercato.
It’s not official yet, but Akliouche seems likely to miss Tuesday’s match. His recovery time is short, and it would take some very good news from both Monaco and the player himself for him to participate in such an intense game. There might even be some doubt about his availability for the return leg on February 25th at the Parc des Princes.
As for Camara, Pocognoli suggests there shouldn’t be any problem. However, he’ll need to be careful with the upcoming European match.
