The Ligue de Football Professionnel’s Disciplinary Committee met on Wednesday to decide on the various sanctions to be imposed following the latest matches in French professional soccer. One of the players in question was Senny Mayulu, an 18-year-old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder who has picked up 3 yellow cards in less than 10 matches. He should therefore have been automatically suspended for one match, but the LFP decided to stick with this sanction without adding a match.
A logical choice, since exceptional circumstances are required for a yellow to be cancelled or for the suspension to be increased. Mayulu will therefore miss the trip to Saint-Étienne on Saturday March 29 at 7pm for Ligue 1 matchday 27. It’s a pity, as it looked like a great opportunity to play as it will be the end of the international break.
