Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, SSC Napoli’s 23-year-old striker under contract until 2027, had been the target of a concrete offer from Paris Saint-Germain during the 2024 summer mercato, but it had been impossible to reach an agreement with the Italian club despite the player’s entourage making representations. This winter, PSG managed to reach an agreement for around 80 million euros, including VAT. His arrival was made official today.
After an initial trial last summer and negotiations this winter, Kvaratskhelia is finally a PSG player! A great coup for the Parisian club, with a player who seems perfectly suited to the project: obvious qualities to create chances through dribbling or passing, the ability to finish as well, constant efforts to defend with the team and still a lot to gain.
Of course, there’s never any guarantee of success with a transfer. But there’s plenty to look forward to with this great talent yet to grow. We have every confidence in coach Luis Enrique. He will also appreciate the versatility of the ambidextrous Georgian.
In any case, we wish him a warm welcome and a wonderful adventure at PSG.
As a reminder, he is unfortunately unable to play in the last 2 matches of the Champions League phase. Let’s hope there’ll be a follow-up this season so he can take part.
