Paris Saint-Germain issued a statement on Tuesday to announce a change in its organizational chart, albeit ultimately a minor one. Victoriano Melero, who had arrived in 2017 as General Secretary and assumed the role of interim General Manager since January 2023, will now occupy the latter position fully.
“Paris Saint-Germain, one of the world’s greatest sporting institutions, is proud to announce the appointment of Victoriano Melero as General Manager. This appointment is part of the continuation of the Club’s new era, which focuses on innovation, performance and excellence, both on and off the pitch.”
It’s no great surprise, once Melero had the job for so long on an interim basis. He was able to convince and therefore keep this strategic position for the club’s development on various aspects.
Including the image of PSG, where the project has been progressing brilliantly for many years. We can only hope that his mission will continue successfully for many years to come.
