Xavi Simons, the 21-year-old attacking midfielder on loan from Paris Saint-Germain to RB Leipzig for the second season running, has just suffered a major blow. After starting against Liverpool on Wednesday evening (0-1 defeat), he was forced off with a serious injury.

Simons is set to miss several weeks with a ligament injury in his left ankle. This is a major setback for the Dutchman, who won his spurs in Leipzig and needs to make the most of this season to accumulate playing time and take his game to the next level.
Perhaps with a return to PSG next summer, even if we are now wary of this idea as it seemed logical for the current season, except that the player has made another choice.
In any case, we wish him courage in the face of this ordeal and a speedy recovery.
