This Sunday, as part of the 9th day of Ligue 1 2024-2025, Paris Saint-Germain faced Olympique de Marseille at the Stade Vélodrome. After a match in which the Rouge et Bleu largely dominated, they won 0-3. Here are our ratings on the Parisians.
Goalkeeper –
Gianluigi Donnarumma (5.5) – It’s impossible to hold anything against him, but he can’t be particularly praised when he hardly had to do anything. At least he did it well.
Defenders –
Achraf Hakimi (8.5) – The Parisian full-back was very quiet defensively, but offensively he was a masterful piece of work. He provoked Marseille’s CSC with a cross and could have had 2 assists if Barcola and Ruiz had been more skilful with excellent services.
Marquinhos (8) – Very strong in every duel, he played a key role in smothering Marseille. He provoked the red card.
Willian Pacho (9) – Impressive, he was a nightmare for OM, being very aggressive and covering well on the rare deep throws.
Nuno Mendes (7) – Solid in defence, he was very clean with the ball and was able to break through to set up João Neves’ opener with his very dangerous cross. Replaced in the 49th minute by Lucas Beraldo.
Midfielders –
João Neves (8) – Controlled the midfield, even if he could be more incisive with his passing at times. Opened the scoring with his first PSG goal. Replaced in the 76th minute by Sanny Mayulu.
Vitinha (7) – In better form than in recent games, he dominated the midfield. His lightning passes and long-range shots are still a little lacking. But there’s no clear criticism to be made.
Warren Zaïre-Emery (7) – The Parisian Titi has got his legs back, and was a real handful in the pressing and duels. We’re still hoping for a little more offence… Replaced by Fabian Ruiz in the 66th minute.
Forwards –
Ousmane Dembélé (8.5) – Dembélé could have scored (should have?), but the main thing we’ll remember is that he was the orchestrator of numerous chances and added an assist to his tally. Without forgetting to defend.
Lee Kang-In (6.5) – Although not as prominent as his team-mates, he still managed to put in some fine performances, making some very interesting calls and pressing hard. Replaced in the 76th minute by Marco Asensio.
Bradley Barcola ( 6) – Scored a goal from an excellent Dembélé pass, but in the end had little success on the dribble and completely missed 2 great chances. He was also penultimate in assists for the opening goal. Replaced in the 66th minute by Désiré Doué.
Coach –
Luis Enrique (8) – It’s hard not to congratulate him on the team he put together to hurt OM. In particular, with Dembélé free in the middle, he hurt OM. He then took advantage of the scoreline to manage game time, with PSG having plenty of chances.
