This Thursday, October 31, the French press (on the sporting side) focused on the succession of speaker Michel Montana (who retired at the end of last season), the uncertain future of sports consultant Luis Campos and the partial closure of the Tribune Auteuil decided by the Ligue de Football Professionnel’s disciplinary committee.

It’s hard to turn the page on Michel Montana, who is much appreciated by the fans, and be sure of making the right choice. So, before making a final decision, PSG is conducting several trials. It’s logical, but not to be taken lightly, as the announcer’s role is essential to the link with the fans.
Likewise, the role of sporting advisor (or sporting director) needs to be given time, as it’s an essential part of the sporting project. Everyone needs to agree on the desire to continue, and in what way. It could well be with Luis Campos, but there’ll be no rush. Reflection and discussions still need to take place.
On the other hand, the partial closure of the Tribune Auteuil is a done deal. There are no surprises here, except perhaps that we might have feared a heavier penalty. We now hope that the LFP and the various authorities will be attentive to all the stands, as there is a feeling that PSG’s media impact has been attracting action in recent years.
