On Saturday at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Paris Saint-Germain won 2-0 against Bayern Munich (video highlights PSG/Bayern Munich) in the quarter-finals of the 2025 World Cup. Here are the ratings given by Le Parisien and L’Équipe to the players from the capital (find ours here).
Le Parisien :
Kvaratkshelia (7) – Doué (6) – Barcola (6)
Ruiz (4.5) – Vitinha (6) – Neves (7.5)
Nuno Mendes (5) – Pacho (6.5) – Marquinhos (7) – Hakimi (7)
Donnarumma (7)
L’Equipe :
Luis Enrique – 7
Kvaratkshelia (7) – Doué (6) – Barcola (6)
Ruiz (5) – Vitinha (6) – Neves (7)
Nuno Mendes (5) – Pacho (6) – Marquinhos (7) – Hakimi (6)
Donnarumma (6)
We don’t understand much about the ratings from both media outlets. It almost seems as if the ratings were randomly assigned, or perhaps after the first half. Donnarumma, 6 (L’Equipe), we have to stay serious. He made the right interventions. Among the surprise ratings, Hakimi, 6 (L’Equipe). What does he have to do to get a 7? Score a hat-trick? Score an overhead kick? Again, his exceptional finish to the match deserves a better rating.
Nuno Mendes, 5, is again a bit low. We could say that L’Equipe needs a break. We might be a little surprised, but it’s true that it’s difficult to rate players at the end of the season. Let’s never forget the context; Hakimi, for example, hasn’t had a break in over a year. This Club World Cup comes after an extended season for PSG. On the road to the semi-finals.
