This Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain take on Brest at the Parc des Princes for the Champions League 2024-2025 play-offs (kick-off 9pm, broadcast on Canal+Foot and 0-3 first leg). A few hours before the match, journalist Romain Collet Gaudin suggested that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (24-year-old striker) would be a substitute.
“Kvaratskhelia is expected to be a substitute against Brest.”
In the press this morning, there was considerable doubt as to whether Kvaratskhelia would start or not. It would appear that the choice has been made and that the Georgian international will have to make do with a cameo appearance. That’s if it happens, but it would be surprising if he didn’t take part.
But let’s remain cautious: the official announcement of the competition has not yet been made, and a surprise is still possible. But if Kvaratskhelia doesn’t start, his place should be up for grabs between Désiré Doué (19) and Gonçalo Ramos (23).
