This Saturday, as part of Matchday 13 of Ligue 1 2024-2025, Paris Saint-Germain (1st) take on Nantes (16th) at the Parc des Princes (kick-off 9pm, broadcast on DAZN). Ahead of this encounter, the press tried to guess the team that will be fielded by Paris coach Luis Enrique.
PSG :
Le Parisien (4-3-3) –
Kolo Muani – Ramos – Lee
Asensio – Vitinha – Doué
Beraldo – Pacho – Marquinhos – Zaïre-Emery
Donnarumma.
L’Equipe (4-3-3) –
Barcola – Asensio – Lee
Doué – Vitinha – Zaïre-Emery
Beraldo – Pacho – Marquinhos – Hakimi
Donnarumma.
Given the group, every team seems possible, but there’s no such thing as certainty. Luis Enrique knows how to surprise people enough to make them wary. He doesn’t give information to the press and is capable of making strong choices.
There have been some disappointments recently, and perhaps also some fatigue following the Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich, so changes may well be on the cards.
It remains to be seen exactly which ones, when there is still time before the next match (Friday at Auxerre) and therefore no “obligation” to take a breather.
Nantes :
Le Parisien et L’Equipe (5-3-2) –
Abline – Simon
Lepenant – Augusto – Chirivella
Cozza – Pallois – Zézé – Castelletto – Coco
Lafont
There don’t seem to be any major doubts, but watch out for a surprise to adapt to a very delicate situation (3 draws and 6 defeats in 9 games) and to PSG. They’re a special team to face, with an attacking potential that can be worrying, and it’s not unusual (or incomprehensible) for there to be a bit of change. Even if that’s also part of the risk. What we’re expecting here is a compact, counter-attacking block.
