Paris Saint-Germain has decided to cancel its supporters’ trip to Kuwait for the 2026 Champions Trophy match between PSG and Olympique de Marseille, just 24 hours before departure. The information was revealed by Bruno Salomon, who explained that the number of participants was insufficient, despite a package offered at 800 euros, partially subsidized by the club.

On paper, the initiative sounded appealing: accompanying PSG abroad for a relocated Trophée des Champions, in a PSG–OM clash that always carries strong symbolic weight. In reality, the project ran up against practical constraints. At €800 per package, even with financial support from the club, the price was simply too high for a large portion of supporters—especially coming just after the holiday season and in a tense economic climate.
The timing didn’t help either (a midweek match), nor did the destination, with Kuwait being far away, expensive, and logistically demanding. The result: insufficient mobilization and a late cancellation, inevitably frustrating for fans who were already prepared to make the trip. This episode is a reminder of a simple truth: passion doesn’t erase logistical and financial realities, even when PSG is willing to contribute financially.
