Paris Saint-Germain is keen to sign Yan Diomandé—a 19-year-old Ivorian winger from RB Leipzig—during this summer transfer window, and there is reason for optimism. According to comments made by Seydouba Cissé to journalist Javier Martín (AS), the player would welcome a move to Paris should the two clubs reach an agreement.
“Yan told me that if Leipzig and Paris were to agree on a deal, he would love to join Paris; otherwise, he would stay at Leipzig to play in the Champions League.”
While these remarks do not imply an imminent transfer, they indicate a clear trend: Yan Diomandé is open to joining PSG. However, the key factor remains an agreement between the clubs—an area where dealings with Leipzig often become complicated. The German club faces no pressing sporting need to part ways with a young, high-performing player who still holds significant market value.
For Paris, the signal is nonetheless promising. PSG frequently seeks to recruit young, explosive attacking players capable of fitting into a long-term project. Diomandé fits this profile, though his personal preference alone will not suffice. Ultimately, Leipzig’s stance will be the deciding factor: whether they are open to negotiation or intent on driving up the price.
